These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cosmic You website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Blue Electric Hand Corporation ("Cosmic You," "we," "us," or "our"), a corporation registered in Ontario, Canada.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Castalia and AI disclosure

Castalia is an AI, not a human, and speaks from your chart for self-reflection and entertainment. She is not a doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or therapist, and does not provide professional advice. Insights are generated from your birth data and conversational signals - they are not predictions, diagnoses, or guarantees. For medical, legal, financial, or mental-health concerns, please consult a qualified human professional. In a crisis, call or text 988 (US/Canada) or your local emergency line.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Castalia. Use of the broader Service (chart calculations, reports) is permitted from age 13 with guardian consent as described in Section 2.

2. Who may use the Service

You may use the Service if you are at least 13 years of age. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. We may restrict the Service in certain regions at our discretion.

Accounts must be created by a real person. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. What the Service provides

Cosmic You is a metaphysical self-discovery platform that generates personalized reports drawing from multiple divination and symbolic systems, including natal astrology, numerology, Human Design, Gene Keys, Mayan Dreamspell, Cards of Destiny, lunar profile, Sabian symbols, birthday personality, synastry, and transits. Reports are generated using a combination of deterministic calculation engines and AI-generated interpretive content.

Entertainment and reflection only

The Service is provided for entertainment, reflection, and personal insight purposes only. Content produced by the Service is not, and should not be interpreted as:

  • Medical, psychological, or mental-health advice
  • Financial, investment, or business advice
  • Legal advice
  • Predictions of future events that will occur with certainty
  • Substitutes for consultation with qualified licensed professionals

If you are experiencing a medical, psychological, financial, or legal concern, consult a qualified professional in that field.

4. Accounts and subscriptions

Free and paid tiers

The Service offers a free tier and several paid subscription tiers (Align, Illuminate, Oracle) plus a one-time Lifetime option. Features and limits of each tier are described on our Pricing page. We may change tier features, pricing, or limits with reasonable notice; price changes affecting existing paid subscribers will take effect at the next renewal period unless we give longer notice.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge the applicable amount for your selected tier and renewal period.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Prices are displayed in USD or CAD depending on your region. Taxes may be added where required by law.

Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Lifetime plan

The Lifetime plan grants access to the features included in the Oracle tier as they exist at the time of purchase and as they evolve in future updates, for as long as the Service operates. "Lifetime" refers to the life of the Service, not the lifetime of the purchaser, and is not transferable. If the Service is discontinued, we will provide reasonable notice but are not obligated to issue refunds on Lifetime purchases that have been in effect for more than 12 months at the time of discontinuation.

5. Your content and data

Birth data

To generate a report, you provide birth data - typically your name, date, time, and place of birth. You may also provide this information for other people (for example, to create a synastry reading or a gifted PDF report) provided you have the right to do so. You represent that you have the necessary rights and, where applicable, consent to provide any third party's birth data to the Service.

Your reports

Reports generated from your birth data are yours to read, download, and share. We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use your own reports for personal purposes, including sharing them with others.

Orbits - shared relationship fields

Orbits lets you and people you invite open a shared field - a Bond (two people) or a Circle (three to eight) - in which a limited, relationship-scoped view of each member's data is visible to the others, and in which Castalia can hold a joint session. By using Orbits you agree that:

  • A shared field opens only after every member has explicitly consented, and the field shows only what every member has agreed to expose (the narrowest scope any member grants governs the whole field).
  • Your private content - your journal and your one-to-one Castalia conversations - is never placed in a shared field.
  • Any member may withdraw at any time, which immediately dissolves the field for everyone.
  • You will only invite a person, or provide a person's information to a field, where you have the right to do so. You will not use a shared field to surveil, harass, or coerce another member.

We may suspend a shared field if it is used in a way that violates these Terms or harms another member.

Content licensed from Cosmic You

The structural, interpretive, and educational content provided by the Service - including but not limited to the body of interpretations, glossary entries, Cosmic U lessons, concept cards, and brand assets - is owned by Blue Electric Hand Corporation or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use this content through the Service. You may not:

  • Scrape, bulk-extract, or republish our content on other websites or platforms
  • Use our content to train machine learning models
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the content
  • Remove copyright notices or attribution

Sharing an individual report link, embedding a single quote from your own report in social media, or discussing your results with friends is fine. Wholesale extraction is not.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal purposes
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code (except as permitted by applicable law)
  • Probe, scan, or test the Service's security without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including submitting automated requests at volumes not typical of a human user
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
  • Submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or infringing
  • Use the Service to generate content for another person in a way that harasses or harms them

7. AI-generated content

Some content on the Service is generated by large language models (currently Claude Sonnet by Anthropic). AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or interpretive biases. We review and curate the generation pipeline, but we cannot guarantee the correctness of any individual AI-generated paragraph. Do not rely on AI-generated content for any decision where accuracy materially affects your life, health, finances, or relationships.

8. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We are a Canadian company and comply with PIPEDA; we also comply with the GDPR for EU/EEA users and CCPA/CPRA for California users.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (database hosting), Anthropic (AI content), and Wikimedia (public birthday data). Their availability and terms may affect the Service. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, change, or remove features at our discretion. Material changes that reduce paid-tier features will be communicated in advance, and you may be entitled to a prorated refund for unused prepaid time under our Refund Policy.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees owed, or use the Service in a way that harms us or other users. We will attempt to give notice before termination except in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or legal requirement.

Upon account deletion or termination, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to retention requirements in applicable law.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Content generated by the Service will be accurate, complete, or reliable
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blue Electric Hand Corporation, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you in full.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Blue Electric Hand Corporation and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damage (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third party's rights.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@cosmicyou.me and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may close your account.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will remain in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
  • Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
